The most common and often asked question we get is, “What is the difference between all the sluices?”
We have 3 kinds of Riffle Tray Systems, each having their own specific uses.
The left riffle is our Explorer model, which uses a “Rod Riffle.” The center riffle is our Maverick model, with a “Flat Riffle.” The right riffle is our Scout model, using a “Drop Riffle,” or “Hungarian Style Riffle.” They are explained in a little more detail below.
Rod Riffle Design
The Rod Riffle Design uses 1/4″ raised expanded steel with a ribbed carpeting, and is used in the Explorer model sluices.
Flat Riffle Design
The “Flat Riffle” uses 1/2″ raised expanded steel with black carpet, and is used in the Maverick model sluices.
Drop Riffle or Hungarian Style Riffle
The “Drop Riffle, or Hungarian Style Riffle” has 1/2″ raised expanded steel with black carpet, standard on the Scout model sluices.
